Happy New Year and Welcome to 2016!

2015 was filled with change. Some welcome, other necessary and other still completely out of the individual’s control. It was a difficult year for many and the word saw glimpses of humanity at its worst. This increased anxiety caused many to retreat and remove themselves from the company of community, seeking solace in the theories of peace, joy, health and prosperity. For some, the experience of real life was too painful and hard as we tried it was not always easy to see the world as a safe place to allow ourselves to be fully open to the lessons to be experienced and growth to be gained.

Now, we welcome a New Year and new opportunities to explore and a “clean slate”. Each year has a numerologic energy associated with it. 2016 (2+1+6) resonates to the number Nine (9) and with that resonance the promise is one of endings and new beginnings. More importantly, it is one of crossing thresholds and the potential to step more fully into a newly catalyzed “you”. The number nine holds the potential of initiatory experience. The key word here being, experience. And, experience is my intended focus for this brand new year!

As a Witch, High Priestess and walker on a path of service within my community and beyond, I have studied and read and filled my mind with everything I could get my hands on to pass this information on to my students and community. Theory has been the Deity I worshipped and practical experience evolved slowly, and at times painfully, as I realized the need to leave the Hermit’s ways of theoretical hoarding. There have been some years when I could not pick up another book for months at a time; so sated was my storehouse of mind and information. The irony is that it was during those times that my most palpable and transformative experiences had the time and space to reveal themselves. What I had desired and sought so fervently in teachings, was surrounding me all the while!

For me personally, 2015 slowed many of my mental acrobatics and theoretical expressions as I was called to the action of practical workings and experiences that would bring about the successful birthing of a new Coven. Readings and writings that were in support of the blogs and projects that had begun in 2014 took a back seat to organizing, stretching and reaching out with more of myself in its entirety to attract membership. And, unequivocally, what everyone wanted was to experience the magick I so fervently spoke of for themselves as a palpable thing. This is after all, exactly what attracted me to the Path in the beginning. The feeling evoked in the midst of ritual. The thoughts that rose to the surface as I watched fascinated by the grace and ease of magick flowing from the practitioner. The high that stirred me to action to try the same magick and experience my own result.

Two passes of my second Saturn return helped me maintain the space of structure in a timely fashion and provided the opportunities to engage more in community, ritual and the very physical experiences I so passionately teach, but don’t give enough of my own time to. Had I not slowed the stream of theory, the course would have been fraught with my own mental roadblocks and the distraction of a head buried in a book would have shut down the receptivity of acquiring the wisdom of experience in a different way.

In this year of the Nine of new beginnings I am taking the advice of a very dear friend and making it one of experience. My classes will be infused with practice experience and palpable gifts that can be applied readily and freely. I’ll be posting more audio of pathworkings, meditations and ritual for those who want more than simply rhetoric. For our coven this is a planned year of physical and manifest experience that includes engagement with the natural world, and more importantly engagement with each other.

How will you make 2016 a Year of Experience?

These past few days have been packed with celestial events that punctuate the soon to be ending of a year of highs and lows. The Solstice of December 21st. marked the longest night of the year and as the Sun transited in Capricorn at 11:49p.m., once again we entered the quickening of new Light and the hope that is birthed with that awakening. The Moon waxed in another Earth sign, Taurus and provided a triad of Fire (Sun)-Water (Moon) and Earth (Capricorn and Taurus). The Cardinal(new beginnings and first flow) energy of Capricorn’s Sun moved into position to feed its outpouring of new light into Lady Moon’s birthing waters that stood ready in the Fixed (stabilization and structure) energy of Taurus. Earth is the sign of manifestation, so the potential of what was begun at this Solstice is one of stable and manifest creation.

“All that is gold does not glitter,
not all those who wander are lost.

The old that is strong does not wither,
deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
a light from the shadows shall spring.

Renewed shall be the blade that was broken,
the crownless again shall be king.”
… J.R.R. Tolkien …

Finding the hidden meaning. Revealing the truths that are just within reach. Acknowledging the importance of everything no matter how small and seemingly unimportant. Parting the veil and fully embracing the reality that surrounds me. This is my work. This is my quest and this is where I will find the most transformational lessons.

I wrote this post five years ago and have been revisiting it frequently this month. So much has moved quickly around and in me and at times it has felt very surreal. Each new opportunity and challenge has brought me back to anchoring and grounding myself in what I know is real and true.

I also see more clearly now how easy it is to get swept away into the ephemeral. There is a comfort found in remaining in a state of spiritual identity that does not demand of you acknowledgement of what is palpable and needs human interaction to achieve a state of balance and clarity.

So, I shall continue to look for the hidden meaning and the truths to be revealed from that seeking. And, in that process, I will find the authority and power to claim my own kingship.

Blessings as you seek your own….

challenges-in-life1

This year has been challenging for many. These challenges have presented themselves in all aspects of our lives much of what we believed to be the stable grounds of haven have been shaken apart as we stand precariously on the edge of undeniable and unavoidable change. My post this week is one of acknowledgement of this change and my own promise to self in navigating these unknown spaces.

If I am able to come to a place of understanding about what the lesson of this challenge may be, than HOPE becomes the motivational force. Healing can begin as new Opportunity allows the space of opening my Perception and being able to fully Engage as an active participant, rather than victim.

What’s Happening and Why?

There are many things in our life’s journey that challenge our progress, test our values and beliefs and stretch us into unknown territories of new growth. We may not have control over when, how and where, but we always are in control of our response and the action we take (or not). For many, the same challenges play out repeatedly in their life and the response is “why does this always happen to me“.

This is where cultivating a place of self-awareness comes in handy. Taking the time to know more about yourself and your behaviors is invaluable and the insight we reveal can become the buoy that keeps us afloat when the most severe of storms rage un-relentless. The fact of the matter is that the more we settle into the fabric of our lives, the more challenges and joys we will encounter. It is not simply because we set ourselves up for either, but it is because we have opened our awareness to what is going on and therein lies the pandora’s box of understanding our paths that we seek, yet are fearful of what lay within.

Awareness and opening writes the pages of our personal manual of understanding. Understanding about ourselves and understanding about what surrounds and calls us to action or re-action.This is the book we return to habitually, even if we do not always clearly see the writing upon the pages. Within the chapters we scribe that offer detailed instruction about how we have navigated each challenge lay the recipe for hope. Hope that all will be well and return to a state of calm and smooth sailing. Hope that we will emerge unscathed and the wounds of our battles will heal. Hope that we will come to a place of healing.

Healing

Understanding creates compassion. And, from compassion the healing can begin. Compassion for oneself and the understanding that even when we feel most vulnerable and fearful there is an inner strength that we may call upon. Until we recognize this as truth, we can never hope to heal the wounds from our challenges.

Healing takes many forms and often what we imagine it to be is not what is received. It is presumed that there is a gentleness about healing, which is why I believe many of us do not recognize it when it comes into our lives. There is great healing in being able to release what no longer serves. At the time, your heart may be broken at making this choice, but time proves that this is precisely what was needed to sustain and support your new growth.

Healing may be the gentle embrace of another picking you up and dusting off the scars of falling flat in our endeavors, but it is also the struggle to regain your footing despite the pain of exertion and no steady place to hold onto. But, from that struggle we gain a deeper understanding of our strengths and indomitable spirit that resides in each of us. From this healing and awareness of our own power over any challenge that besets us, the path is laid open to explore in what over ways this strength may be applied.

Opportunity

Calling healing into our life; most importantly healing of ourselves opens the way for opportunity to flow. Each conscious decision born from a place of self-love creates a new possibility for being able to move through the world with clarity. Every moment of our lives is a call to stepping into the hope of learning the lessons gained from the experiences that are presented to us.

Perception

How we perceive the world and our place within it determines the next step we take. We awaken in the morning and the first thoughts that arise in our conscious waking state dictate how we will move through the day. If all that we sense are the struggles and challenges, these will be what we see first and foremost. Now this is not to say that the power of only positive thinking will keep you free of any negative life experience. But, what we perceive as “negative” and “positive” will guide much of our action.

Many may disagree with this next statement, but I believe that everything contains a portion of its polarity within itself. If we were not aware of and able to define the darkness, how would we make the distinction of what is light? If we do not understand and are able to know what is painful, how can we truly appreciate what is pleasurable? And, so on.

If this is a possibility than what we perceive as hope-less and negative, contains within it the possibility of positive outcome and gratitude for the lessons learned. Of course, holding this intention is the challenging part when faced with difficulties and what is perceived as a hopeless situation, but not finding the space of allowing this intention to be co-creator of the outcome provides the fertile ground for remaining captive in the discord and unable to engage in a productive way.

Engagement

It is our nature to move, stumble, fall, get up again, triumph and fail. This is the way of life. The key note of this pattern is action and more importantly engagement in the process. Hope stimulates that part of our being that seeks to no longer be an observer in their life’s story but instead to be the author. Engagement means you will at times be bruised and battered by what you encounter, but it also means that you will lovingly apply the appropriate ointment and bandages to assist in the healing.

Engagement is the place of choice we come to in the cycle of Healing, Opportunity and Perception. Engagement is both the ending and the beginning of another cycle of HOPE. Because, each time we step more fully into all aspects of our lives, there will be a growth-filled serving of both light and dark, and everything in between.

And, so I take you back to where I began this post- with a slightly different perception:

This year has been challenging for many and the opportunities for self-awareness and growth have been abundant. These challenges have presented themselves in all aspects of our lives as much of what we believed to be the stable grounds of haven, home and self have been shaken apart calling us to deeper understanding of ourselves and the wold around us. We stand precariously on the edge of undeniable and unavoidable change, and in that change lay the path of engagement that will promote healing.

Many blessings that the journey be fruitful and you never lose Hope..

This post is one that I wrote in March of 2013. The sentiment and intention for its writing is once again very true and this year, in particular has been brutal for many leaving them feeling less than empowered by the choices, responses and reactions that have occurred.  The irony is that this post came on the heels of an intense winter and the promise of Spring close at hand. Now, we find ourselves entering into the unknown of what this upcoming year’s winter will bring and the greater opportunity to move inwards in reflection as we bolster and “batten down the hatches”…..

It seems that many are having multiple challenges at all levels of their lives over the course of the past few months. These challenges may have been exacerbated by the intense winter weather, power outages and stressful commutes. This week’s post is an opportunity to release any challenges you are facing and craft within yourself the space of renewal and empowerment. As Spring approaches and the promise of warmer days is just ahead, time for a little spring tune-up.

You may use this pathworking regularly and enjoy the continued effects of routinely clearing away and bolstering your inner strength. Below are some guidelines about how to get the most from your pathworking experience:

Good– Read through the pathworking each time you want to use the pathworking. Make note of pausing in the reading wherever it feels like more time would be spent in the specific train of thought.

Better- Read through the pathworking several times and as you do so, try to set up key points that are stored in the memory. In this way, you can create your own scenarios using the structure of the original pathworking without having to read through the text each time.

Best- Employ the physicality of recording the pathworking in your own voice, which produces an effective recognizable neurological imprint inducing physiological response and imprint to listen to.

When you are ready to make the recording be sure to select a space where you will not be interrupted and has minimal background noise.

Be sure to speak slowly (more so, if you tend to speak quickly and do not annunciate well) and clearly and to give pause where it would naturally occur if you were reading aloud. There may be some points in the meditation where you will want to spend several minutes in the locale that is being presented. Remember to give adequate time of silence for this. Do not stop the recording. Pause in your reading of it and then begin again when sufficient time has passed. Allow the amount of time you wish to have to fill the space on the recording and then resume the reading of the pathworking.

Find a comfortable place where you will not be disturbed. Sit back and Enjoy!

The Elixir of Golden Light

Relax your mind and body as you sit in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and take 3 deep breaths; slowly inhaling 1-2-3 and   exhaling 1-2-3.  Allow your body to establish a gentle, even rhythm of breath; taking you to a restful and peaceful state of consciousness. As your breathing becomes restful allow your consciousness to shift upwards; passing up through the ceiling of the room you are sitting in room and up through the roof of the building. Continue this ascent upwards and out into the moonlit sky. You are aware of the rooftops below and the velvety sky above.

As you travel upwards you become aware of a thick brown and green mist forming around you. You become aware of the smell of  loamy, rich, brown earth and you feel the texture and support of soft fertile dirt beneath your feet. You realize that you are standing in the midst of a lush green forest with trees forming a canopy above and the support of rich brown earth underfoot. Take a moment to take in the smells, the energy and the feel of this perfect space of nature’s creation.

As you look up towards the canopy of trees above you are aware of a glowing white orb slowing descending towards you. As this orb of pure white light descends to within arms’ length, you realize that this place and orb of healing light have been created to bind, contain, heal and transform that which troubles or burdens you.

Now, in this place of perfect grounding and trust, give form to those things that you wish to release. Give form to those issues and situations which cause you concern. Give form to all that you feel is of challenge and obstacle at this time preventing you from being your highest self.

With intent and will reach out, gather these forms together and push them into the center of the brilliance of the sphere in front of you binding them firmly into this single orb of release. Once the orb is filled with all that you wish to release, reach out and grasp it in your hands, holding it outstretched and away from you. Take a moment and take note of the feel and the weight of it. Feel the energy of all that you released to it pulsing within.

Slowly place the sphere into the softness of the earth below, pushing it deep within the ground and allowing the earth to absorb and transform that which has caused you concern. The Great Mother is taking this weight from you and offering you peace and relief. Brush the dirt from your hands and take a moment to savor the feeling of this lightness of being; of the weight of your burdens no longer a part of your being.

As you think on this, you become aware of something shining in the moonlight, and as you take a few steps forward you realize that it is the reflection of the surface of a small pond a few feet ahead of you. The water sparkles like diamonds in the moonlight and it radiates peace and serenity. You feel that if only you could touch it, and slide into the shimmering liquid that it would wash away all of the remaining tension that you have.

Slowly you remove your clothes and drape them over the nearby bush. You step to the edge of the water, sit down on the grass and dangle your feet in the pond, noting that the water is surprisingly warm. The pond is not deep, so you slide in and sit leaning against the bank; your head gently resting on the soft grass at water’s edge. As you close your eyes and relax into the warm water you feel all of the tension and concern slipping away; drawn deep into the cleansing waters. Take a moment and truly feel the peace and calm enveloping you. Rest in the gentle support of the healing waters and feel every cell of your being opening to renewal.

Something gently brushes against your feet and you open your eyes to see that a lily pad is floating towards you with something shiny on it. As the flower moves closer you notice a sparkling powder in the center. You take a little of the powder and wet it. It lathers and foams forming bubbles and you begin to wash your body with the foam. It tingles against your skin, energizing and revitalizing wherever it touches. Take a moment to relish the feel of this energizing foam and when you are ready slip down into the water and wash the foam from your body.

As you wipe the water from your eyes you see that a goblet of fine crystal, filled with a golden liquid has been placed on the grassy edge of the pond. Curious, you take the goblet in your hand and hesitate a moment before lifting it to your lips. You only hesitate a moment because you know that you are in a place of perfect love and perfect trust and that all in this special place are gifts from the Goddess and Her world of Nature.

You slowly tilt the goblet and allow the liquid to flow down your throat and you know intuitively that this is a liqueur of inner strength and self-confidence. This is the empowering nectar that all have savored who would live their truths and stay strong on their course of purpose. As the nectar fills your being, turn your thoughts to how you would wish to be a stronger person. What truths you would wish to manifest in your life.  What the essence of the truth in your heart is and the ways in which you could walk your path in deeper trust and greater love.

As you finish the last drops of liquid you look around and now feel more solid, stable and more substantial and capable of handling any situation which may arise in your life. You gently place the empty goblet on the soft earth and put your clothes on; readying yourself to return to the physical world in a renewed and more loving state. You feel rested and imbued with inner peace. When you are dressed take another look at the pond and know within your heart that this place will always be waiting for you any time you have need. As this thought runs through you and you focus on the inner strength you now feel, you become aware that the pond and forest and earth are beginning to fade from sight. Everything swirling back into an olive colored mist and you feel yourself slowly descending down.

You pass once again through the moonlit night sky and the tops of roofs become more visible as you descend downward. You pass easily through the outside of the building in which you began this journey and come to rest gently back in the room in which you started. You become aware of your physical body resting comfortably in your room and as you gently allow your consciousness to slip back into your physical body you become more aware of the sounds, smells and energies in your space. Take a few deep breaths and when you are ready gently flutter your eyes open, returning to the here and now.

The Moon is waxing towards its fullness on Oct. 27th. and the Goddess is flowing strongly through every part of my life. For this week’s Pagan Experience writing our focus is on Deity and the Divine and with that though in mind, I offer the experience of connection I have felt as the Moon moves through Her phases.

Although there are many Deities that I work work, the energy of Goddess in her mantle of Moon is present continually. She informs all aspects of my work, both mundane and magickally and each night as the darkness cloaks the sky Her watchful gaze is ever present. The interesting thing is that over the years, as I have consciously chosen to connect with the Goddess through her lunar phases, the depth of expression of that energy has opened to me as the veiling of the night sky and all that resides in that heavenly body lifts and the truth of cosmic connection that pulses through all manner of life becomes my space of awareness.

From the vantage of Maiden Moon, the anticipation of what lay ahead to be seized hungrily lights the way of exploration of my human connection to the luminaries of planet, star and Universe. This is the enthusiasm of the youthful star gazer who wishes upon that special star for the love and companionship of another. This is the enthusiasm if one who greets each day with expectation that a new adventure will be offered.

As I step into the brilliance of light that is Mother Moon, I see the product of my creation. I see the expanse of heaven and earth and the potential of life that is manifest, ethereal, corporeal and ephemeral, all my children and all that I love with the fierceness only a mother can know. What I have birthed, good-bad, viable or not are all the gifts of my lessons as creatrix and as nurturer of that creation. I am strength and beauty and I am both creator and destroyer.

In the heavy darkness that is the shroud of the Dark Moon, I stand at the point where time converges. Past, present and future streams that are distinct yet all flowing simultaneously sensing the pulse of the eternal cycle within each other. I reach back to pull the tapestry of aeons of starseed tighter around a form that moves with the fluidity and grace of infinite wisdom. I call into my core the fleeting light that heralds future endeavors and the worlds that lay within that potential. I am both the center and all of the parts of the whole that form all the worlds of existence. This is the pervasive darkness of my mystery and the seed that spawns the first sliver of light in the shedding of my gnosis and become the Maiden seeker of that wisdom.

For me, this is the gift and blessing of all that we call Deity. There are many forms that this naming assumes but its purpose is always that of deepening our connections and understanding of the space that is Divinity within ourselves.

The Rising

Moon rises high overhead and
Light from HER hand spills
Down like droplets of soft rain.

Stars sparkle in the velvet of HER
Night cloak and darkness beckons
To be held in HER embrace.

All of earth moves in resonance with
The rise and fall of Her breath and
The great waters are quickened in
HER womb of fullness.

I sit in the silence of moonlit night
And I weep at the profound beauty
Of Luna’s nightly rising.

For in this moment of moonlight’s grace
SHE and I are one.

Light
Breath Foundations of the All

Energy
Primal origins
Union of permanence and simplicity

Refinement Coalescing return Held in the
Rapture of your Embrace

Spirit is often referred to as the Fifth element. Spirit stands apart from the four physical elements. Air, Fire, Water and Earth form the foundation upon which manifest and un-manifest work is done. Spirit has no specific correspondences, easily defined boundaries or categorization as it is the flexible container that expands, contracts, opens and closes in response to everything that surrounds and contains it. Spirit manifests in everything and is everywhere. To say that everything contains Spirit is to try to articulate something that cannot be limited by words, analogies or truisms.

Spirit is often equated with the higher parts of our being. Those highly refined and spiritually attuned energies which each hold within. Just as we are part of and one in the same of the basic four elements, we are also part of the energies and elements that comprise Spirit.

If we use a bit of numerology, the four elements correspond to the numeric association of the number Four being the place of solid and equilateral foundation. The square (which is also the geometric shape we are creating when we call the energies of the quarters into sacred space) forms the container for which the energy of the magick can flow. If we add one more of something to this stable base of Four, we arrive at the number Five. Five causes disruption to the stability. It changes the pattern and shape of whatever that four-thing is. It can be likened to the agent of quickening; similar to yeast being added to the basic ingredients of bread dough to assure that it expands and grows. So, Five elements (or components) now provide the opportunity for growth, whether it is spiritual or manifest.

If we also hold that the place of Spirit is the highly refined element of our spiritual SELF. That part of our being which is part of the greater whole, the earth we inhabit and the greater cosmos; then as we draw ourselves as Spirit into the central place of influx from the four basic elements of air, water, fire and earth of which we are also composed, it would stand to reason that this is the alchemical equation for spiritual growth; awakening of magick and much more.

At the levels of consciousness our Spirit is that which is the pure essence of our Being in its formless and transcendent state. The Soul incarnates into the physical body as the animating essence to accomplish the specific work of a lifetime. At death it is reabsorbed back into the Spirit of our Being, bringing with it the cumulative knowledge of that lifetime’s experience and growth. The Spirit we relate to the five-fold nature of the elements is by default part of this scheme. And, in this way we are using its more manifest (I use this word loosely) form to hold together and inform the remaining four.

The Second Harvest

We go where the wild things are
And the Lord of the Land
Stands ready at the guard.

The harvest is upon us and all
Life holds steady bracing for
The storms that lay ahead.

We go where the wild things are
And all of life lay within the
Heart of He who Guards the land.

We find sanctuary within
As the fields become barren
And the crops yield only the
Potent promise of renewal.

The Autumnal Equinox heralds another turn of the Great Wheel and we find ourselves at the time of the Autumnal Equinox. The air is cooler, the leaves are turning and beginning to fall from brittle branches and all of life is giving pause to prepare for what changes lay ahead. This is the second of the three harvests and the fields are already beginning to brown as the day’s light gently wanes and we are enveloped in the quickening darkness of the setting sun. It is at this time we begin to gather our stores of ripened summer foods and draw the remainders of outdoor activities into ourselves to carry us through the winter months ahead. Soon the time for introspection and the gentle quickening of the light that will be birthed at Yule will be at hand, but for now, attention is placed on abundance.

Many will celebrate this Sabbat as Mabon and give honor to the God as the wild lord of the hunt and Green Man of the forests. The Goddess becomes Gaia, the great earth mother who offers up her lands as sacrifice in the cycle of life and death and to that, which will be prey and those that must be predator. In her form as Lady of the Beasts she will guide and protect her animals to insure that new life will come from those that survive the harshness of winter. This is optimal time for connecting with the Anima Mundi the World Soul and the kingdoms of Animal, Man, Crystal and Plant that comprise it.

I just taught a class today at Delmarva Pagan Pride Day entitled: Awakening the Inner Sun-The Fires of Will. I have worked with solar energy for many years and what I love about this energy is the metamorphic change that occurs at all levels. The physical Sun provides heat, generates nutrients in the body and strengthens. The Spiritual Sun enlivens us and fills us with purpose and action that is bolstered by a continually renewable source. The Midnight Sun catalyzes us onto the mystery of our earth’s core and the knowledge that although we may move in the darkness of night, the Sun continues to shine in the opposite hemisphere.

I offer this week 2 excerpts relating to the Solar Energy that flows in and around us. One is a poem I wrote some years ago and the other an excerpt from my book, A Weekly Reflection: Musings on the Year. Enjoy!

Awakening

The heat moves through me
Calling me to flow along
Its path of blazing light.

I call to the ashes that
The Phoenix may rise up
Within me to break free
Of what has held me inert.

Wings beat furiously and
Strain with expansion upwards
Quickening the spark of flame.

Blinding light flashes
And I move through
The flaming center
Of the sun.

My Soul awakening in
The black iciness of
Enlightened Will.

WEEK 28: The Solar Connection

Sitting-in-the-sun

We feel the power of the sun’s energy upon us both daily and throughout the year. If we consider not only the physical considerations of the Sun as the central planet of our solar system, but also look from a magickal and metaphysical perspective the attributes that we associate with solar energy are all pervasive in our daily experience.

The Sun is connected to the chakra (energetic center) which is located centrally within our body, the solar plexus. It is from this point that we generate and release energy. It is from this central location that when we are engaged in spiritual practice that we feel the beginning stirrings of the rise of that energy. This is the place of energetic awakening and return.

You could think of the solar plexus as being the sustainer (of aroused energy), the life and light bearer (energy produces light and a new state of being) and that which warms (energy produces heat) and promotes growth (energy moves us from one state of being to an expanded and enhanced state of awareness).

Spend some time this week out in the sunlight. Visualize the sun enlivening the spark of sun within you.

In honor of the NEW MOON that occurred on Friday, August 14th….

The New Moon is the beginning of the cycle of increased flow and dynamics. It embodies the Goddess as the Maiden. Youthful, fertile and ripe with creative outpour and though lacking the experience of the Crone, she has more than enough enthusiasm to seek out the many paths that could be taken. It is to some degree the allowance of nature taking its course, directed towards a goal of productive manifestation. It is the yearning and desire that is inherent in the Maiden that will attract to Her that which she desires most. And, it is this energy, which if with intention and correct thought is set into motion during this phase, will blossom with the waxing of the Moon.

Hidden

The Lady holds
Her mystery in
Silent waiting orb.

Her milky white lantern
Hidden in the darkness
Of velvet ebony night.

Sun King gives way as
Sweet New Moon weaves
Her veil of star light and
Pulsing ebb and flow.

She speaks not a word
Her call answered deep
Within the heart that turns
Within to claim her hidden light.

The Silent Moon is calling
