Out shooting (camera pics) with my husband tonight and we stopped to catch the sunset. I wanted to post this picture of the First Quarter Moon as a side note to the postings on Temple of the Moon. Going out and seeing the moon perfectly poised and balanced in the midst of a darkening blue sky was the icing on the cake for Day Eight’s posting about balance and refining.
Milky crescent waxing bright
Creamy brilliance in darkening night
Heralding evening and rest to unfold
Mysteries deep and future’s stories untold
Sunset was beautiful too!!

Color blends, fuses and merges
Deepened hue drains
Into darkness’ hungry mouth
