The Chariot in the Toth Deck and Taking Control…

Tarot for Troubling Times

slide11

Where Do I Have Control?

Last month the draw was Key VIII-Strength and that set the tone for what was needed in this coming year. The second draw brings us to Key VII-The Chariot (and, yes, I promise that I did shuffle adequately). All in all this key following that of Strength is a call to learning how to navigate successfully as we stand anchored between polarized forces.

Toth Key VII – The Chariot

Stand strong as the ground
Beneath shifts in the journey.

Stand strong as the four
Guard and guide this journey.

Stand strong as the holiest
Of the Holy’s radiates out.

Stand strong knowing that you
Have control of the outcome.

And the victories that you
Bring into realization
Are no longer bound by
Heaven or Earth.

The Toth Key VII of the Chariot speaks to the mysteries of bringing into the place of glory the lessons…

Sun in Aquarius

Tomorrow evening the Moon waxes full in the astrological sign of Leo. We remain in the solar month of Aquarius and the earth will cast its shadow on the Moon in the first eclipse of 2017. This auspicious event is considered a penumbral eclipse which occurs when the outer (or penumbral) shadow of the Earth blocks part but not all of the Sun’s rays from reaching the Moon. And, in terms of the cosmic line-up, Earth stands midpoint as the Moon travels behind and the Sun is in front.

Apart from the astronomical/astrological import, the spiritual nature and metaphysical overlays of these archetypal energies can be accessed most effectively in aligning Strength and Will to Action (Sun) – Manifest Form (Earth) – and, Intuitive Flexibility (Moon). If we take this approach to the work at hand, we become the midpoint as earthy representative and call into ourselves the polarized aspects of Father(Sun) and Mother (Moon); Aquarius (Air/Mind and Vision) and Leo (Fire/Will and Guardianship). Tarot Key VII – The Chariot

Let me guide the task at hand
I hold within my center
All that is needed to
Produce what you most
Desire.

About this Key:

The Tarot Key VII- The Chariot – speaks to control and mastery that is hard won and only emerges when you step into your own power. Who and what you exert that mastery upon is guided purely by past experience and being anchored and centered in the space of balance acquired from the synthesis…

Musings From the Mystic Path
The Month of February
Rising Up!slide2

The Month of February stands as a space of settling in after the pace of the holidays, anticipation of what a new year may bring and heralds the coming of balance at the Equinox and the promise of a shift into new activities and ventures. This year that space of settling in has issued the calling of standing strongly in what you have settled in to as your beliefs, philosophies and how your personal stance rises up in response or reaction to what is occurring on the political front.

This month’s issue is focused on the challenges of a new presidency, fraught with uncertainty and anger. There are articles of personal experience and perspective from those who attended the Women’s Marches and an opportunity to actively engage in an audio Ritual Pathworking that was…

Sun in Aquarius

The last post, Scry Deeply For Your Vision of Change, issued a call to reaching into those deep waters of self to explore who you are and what your core beliefs and philosophies reflect. And, now 8 days later, the Moon begins Her phase of new journey, potential and HOPE in the astrological sign of Aquarius. The work that was claimed and shed during that 4th Quarter phase on the 19th is ready for the quickening of its energy as we enter the dynamics of an Aquarius Moon and Sun opening the Gates to what an inspired mind can produce.

The Moon transits New this evening in the astrological sign of Aquarius. Aquarius is sign of elemental Air and Fixed (synthesis to create a stable foundation from which to draw) modality. With its placement as the 11th sign…

Today marks the eve of Inauguration Day. A day that has had a build up of a contentious campaign, questionable election and uncertainty about what this new presidency will bring. Change is inevitable, but the change that is upon us requires that each of us give clarity and possibly re-definition to our beliefs, allegiances, actions and ultimately what our contribution will be in the years to come.

And, so with these thoughts in mind, this post is not a political commentary; but, is instead, a reminder of the tools we can access to to help those steps of personal definition come to light.

Sun in Aquarius

For many, we entered this New Year carrying more trepidation about how those things we hold near and dear would be honored and sustained than in year’s past. The Sun…

December is the month of the Solstices; Winter, in the Northern Hemisphere and Summer in the Southern. For those of you in colder climates, we have a Wassail Recipe that is sure to warm and soothe in the frosty weather. Typically, it is a time of acknowledging that balance and harmony are not always about equanimity. In order to thrive, each must be given its time of power. The quotes selected this month are a mix of selections from various writers with a theme of light and “whole”ness as we find the space of balance within ourselves.

This month we have the second installment of our new column, Tesseract, written by Iolanthe. The focus is on the First Quarter Moon of December and scrying our way towards new beginnings.  Seekers…
